MVP Josh Allen only achieved the squad's opening first down in the third period and first points in the fourth - yes the Dolphins had 10 days to prepare but it was nonetheless a significant failure laid by one of the league's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two scores but rusher Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 combined yards and two scores

Bottling up the league's best rushing attack was also key, with Cook and teammates recording just eighty-six yards, their lowest of the season and just over half their 161.5-yard average

Then there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Josh Allen specifically. An interception in the end zone meaning a nine-minute possession yielded no points, and his fourth-quarter dropped ball that the Dolphins converted to a touchdown just two plays

It was typical 'old Buffalo' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defense and Allen attempting to overcompensate to rescue his squad from the situation - rather than the composed, controlled, balanced Bills we've witnessed this year

Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this season so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the start of a trend, but for the Bills they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a difficult matchup against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the New England are quietly moving into a comfortable advantage at the top of the American Football Conference East

You can find flaws in the Patriots, the Broncos and Indianapolis really for feasting on the weaker opponents, with only five of their combined twenty-four victories coming against teams with a positive record - and one example was the Indianapolis defeating the Denver

While you can argue who 'the top team' is technically, the Pats should be favourites to end with the top record due to their remaining opponents - which includes just a single matchup against a successful opponent, although a huge one against Buffalo

Visiting Baltimore is also tough, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West with the Kansas City to play twice, the Los Angeles Chargers (who could also challenge for first place but face the same problem) and additionally the Green Bay on the schedule

The Indianapolis also play the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the five and four Jaguars to face. There's a long way to travel but the opportunity is available for a surprise number one position in the AFC

Coming Up - Rams & Seahawks Set for Week 11 Clash

Two teams with solid claims to be superior to all of the three 8-2 sides are NFC West opponents the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who both put up forty points to go to seven and two before next week's Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the pair in Los Angeles

They've both secured four victories in a row, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with top receivers, and defenses allowing fewer than twenty points a contest

Each could easily be undefeated as too - especially the Los Angeles as their two defeats occurred in extra time against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a game-winning kick with the last kick deflected and returned by the Philadelphia for a score

Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before losing to the final play of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they're truly among the top teams in the NFL

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the best of the season to date
